Visit Length

Definition

The Visit Length metric provides insights into how long people stay at a given location. It uses only non_residents_non_workers. The Visit Length metric provides insights into how many of the visitors had:

  • a quick stop (<=10 minutes)
  • a short visit (between 10 and 45 minutes)
  • a moderate visit (between 45 and 90 minutes)
  • a long visit (> 90 minutes)

Popular time has a lag of 14 days, so it will be produced at the 15th of the new quarter. E.g. for the 2024-07-01 to 2024-09-30 quarter, it would be produced on the 2024-10-15.

Limitations

Metrics are not produced for locations larger than 70,000 sqm; these locations will not have any results. Only 1% of venues are affected.

  • Are there any significant peaks or drops in time spent in a location over time?
  • Are visitors spending more or less time at a location over time?
  • Which visit length buckets are most common for a location?
