Points Of Interest (POIs)
General
Machine Learning Visitation comes with a vast amount of POIs which have a history dating back to January 2019. In total, Visitation datasets come with more than 3.8 Million locations.

Update Frequence
We provide regular updates of our POI map with a monthly cadence. When we observe a change of a POI, we provide a full historical backfill for that location to ensure the timeline is preserved.
Polygon Confidence Score
The 'Polygon Confidence' score is a technical tool designed for estimating likelihood of accurate foot traffic prediction in locations. It evaluates critical factors like location size, brand, category, and spatial aspects such as polygon sharing or location density of the area. Not all polygons represent individual locations perfectly. By calculating Z-scores, the method assesses how typical a location's size is compared to others in its category, resulting in a polygon fitness score.
Polygon Confidence also factors in location characteristics, like being synthetic or a parent location, and spatial variables like density and polygon fitness. This weighted score, 'Polygon Confidence', succinctly quantifies the likelihood of precise foot traffic predictions, essential for effective business and urban planning strategies.

Our products provide access to safe and compliant data by blacklisting sensitive location categories of locations.

For a POI to be available in our Visitation product there are 4 selection criterias
- It is in one of the categories listed here
- Our Polygon Confidence Score for the location needs to satisfy a lower cut-off limit
- The location was not labeled as
permanently closedbefore January 1st, 2024 - The locations is not blacklisted by our Location Privacy check
