Custom Locations

General​

In addition to our library of POIs and library of CBGs, we also have the ability to provide insights for custom locations - locations that are not in our library. You can get visitation data for custom locations using latitude/longitude, or polygons of the locations of interest.

Datasets & Metrics​

We are aiming to provide all datasets available for our POIs also for custom locations. However, as of now, custom locations only support the following datasets:

  • Foot Traffic
  • Trade Areas
  • Demographics

There are a few differences between custom locations and POI library:

  • We do not offer all datasets (as mentioned above).
  • Schemas are slightly different as we do not have all context information as we do have for POIs or CBGs.

Using Custom Locations​

To use the custom locations functionality, you would need to provide Unacast with latitude/longitude, or polygons of the locations of interest.

Latitude / Longitudes​

We use the lat/long to create in-house polygons.

Polygons​

We use the polygons you provide.
